Work of young Cuban artists and writers promoted in Holguin

The Literature section of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS fot its Spanish acronym) and La Luz publishing house, conducted the “Punto de Fuga” (Fugue Point) culture gathering, a monthly event that promotes the work of young writers and artists of Holguin and other Cuban provinces.

On this occasion, Punto de Fuga focused its attention on the radio program “Así como te cuento”, which was broadcasted during the summer season by our Radio Angulo station, with the script by Yailyn Ojeda and direction by Amalio Carralero.

Ojeda Grass, who is a radio producer and provincial vice-president of the AHS, explained at the event held at the Celestino Bookstore of the publishing house of the young people of Holguín, that the program adapted the narrative work of several writers who are part of the catalog of Ediciones La Luz and had the voices of Dayana Agüero and César Hidalgo Torres, as hosts of a space that joined the promotional actions of the campaign La Luz te pertenece (The Light Belongs to You).

Broadcast from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. on the frequencies of CMKO, “Así como te cuento” heard the narrations of writers such as Lourdes María Mazorra, Mariela Varona Roque, Ariel Fonseca, Evelin Queipo and Rafael Inza, among others. It was learned that these stories will soon be available in the iVoox profile of Ediciones La Luz.

For his part, poet and storyteller Andres Cabrera read some of the texts included in the anthology El Árbol del Mundo. Selection of poets of Holguin, compiled by Norge Luis Labrada and prologue of Manuel Garcia Verdecia, and he also made referrece to the novel Al son de la Carabela, already in process of edition by Holguin AHS publishing house.
