The school uniforms for the 2023-2024 school year are in production phase in the four workshops of the Yamarex clothing company of Holguín, where they are working intensely to fulfill the commitments agreed until August 20.
Matos Martínez, production analyst of Yamarex clothing company, said that for the beginning of the school year, 134,53 thousand 53 units must be ready, corresponding to the priorities, among which preschool and fifth grade are given priority, in the case of elementary school, and the initial grades of the rest of the education system.
This figure of school uniforms, he said, represents 40 percent of the total demand for school uniforms in the province, which amounts to over 334 thousand
units. To date, they have finished more than 74 thousand 131 units and continue the confection of the prioritized garments for primary and secondary.
“We have the raw material to meet the priority for primary education, blouses for primary and for 83 percent of the shirts for this educational level. educational level. The rest of the garments for the other educational levels are not backed by resources,” said Matos Martínez.
It is foreseen that this week they will receive the completion of the white poplin and blue drill fabric to fulfill the Mincin’s commitments of school uniforms for the country’s Education.
