Figuras de Tinta project celebrates its first anniversary

Figuras de Tinta project promoted by renowned troubadour Fernando Cabreja, celebrated its first anniversary last Friday. A space that reveres the trova and poetry of Holguin.

Figuras de tinta project, has become a new reinterpretation, from the musicalization of about 30 poems by various authors, including Delfín Prats, Gastón Baquero, Lourdes González, Reynaldo Zaldívar, José Luis Serrano, Moisés Mayan and Luis Yuseff.

This event, based on one of Moisés Mayan’s poems, brings together the public at the Centro de Superación para la Cultura to enjoy the great music of the Cacique de la Trova (Cabreja’s nickname), as well as poetry readings and performances by new troubadour voices.

In the celebration of the first year of the space, its host was accompanied by the poet José Luis Serrano, winner of the Nicolás Guillén Prize, who read texts from his work Los perros de Amundsen, and the troubadour Amaury del Río.

Figuras de tinta project in this period has not only offered the opportunity to young artists to show their talent, but it has also combined the author’s song and poetry of different generations in the city of Holguin.
