The children theater company La Colmenita overflew its talent during a special performance before the public attending this Thursday the 17th Gibara International Film Festival, which takes place in that city of Holguin province.
After the presentation of the play “Cinderella according to The Beatles” this morning at the Jibá movie theater, the popular group will show at the El Almacén Cultural Center La cucarachita Martina (Martina, the Cuban Cockroach), performances that are part of the program of the film festival, which will end on the 5th.
According to an interview published on the festival’s website, its artistic director René de La Cruz highlighted the participation in this locality of theater groups from several areas of the country such as Hilos Mágicos, Tuyo de Las Tunas, Teatro de las Estaciones and Teatro Papalote, from Matanzas.
The community of Gibara, which needs attention because of its low income, is not exempt from the cultural activities of the event, and the presence here of La Colmenita is a success, that is why this special performance, he said.
