Cuba secured its second victory in the Volleyball Nations League this Friday in Osaka, Japan. Defeating Argentina in five sets during the third week of the tournament.

The Caribbean team’s success came with set scores of 17-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, and 15-12 in just over two hours of play.
Cuba dominated in attack (56-49), direct points with serves (11-6). And blocks (13-11), although they committed more unforced errors (36-24).
Marlon Yant led the winners’ attack with 28 points. Followed by Miguel Ángel López (19). Armoa Morell contributed 21 points for the South Americans.
In their next matches, the Cubans will face Canada tomorrow and Italy on Sunday.
After eight consecutive losses, the Cuban national team is experiencing its best moment in the League. Although it sits in third-to-last place among 16 contenders.
Japan, undefeated in ten matches, leads the overall standings, followed by the United States (8-2).
