“Amasijos” Exhibition by Santiago de Cuba Artist Carlos Walker Opens in Holguin

The solo exhibition “Amasijos” by Santiago de Cuba artist Carlos Walker Delis opened to the public at the Electa Arenal Huerta Hall of the Provincial Center of Visual Arts (CPAP) in the city of Holguin.

The exhibition features 29 pieces that explore diverse techniques and formats. In a visual journey that offers multiple interpretations of contemporary art.

According to the exhibition catalog, specialist Ana Cristina Castro Fuentes, a member of the CPAP Advisory Council. Walker’s work brings together multiple realities. Where “the human, the abstract, the pictorial material, and the expressive gesture intertwine. In a visual universe where the traditional boundaries between figure and abstraction seem to dissolve.”

The critic also notes that the works invite the viewer to let go of rigid categories and enter a space of sensory and conceptual connections.

Carlos Walker Delis is a graduate of the El Alba Professional Academy of Visual Arts in Holguin. He boasts a career that includes participation in group exhibitions both in Cuba and abroad. As well as numerous awards and recognitions.
