Trump Ends Tariffs on Oil Shipments to Cuba

President Donald J. Trump signed a new executive order on February 20th, 2026. Announced this Monday on the White House website, ending the additional ad valorem tariffs imposed. Under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

The measure refers to the tariffs established in several executive orders between 2025 and 2026. Which included provisions against countries such as China, Venezuela, Brazil, Russia, Cuba, and Iran, among others. These tariffs were imposed in response to what Washington. Described as “unusual and extraordinary threats” to U.S. national security, foreign policy, or the economy.
