School Uniform Production Continues in Holguin

The Yamarex Garment Factory in Holguin province continues production of school uniforms for the 2025-2026 academic year for General Education. As requested by the Ministry of Domestic Trade (Mincin) in the northeastern region.

Elsa Matos Martínez, an analyst for this industry, explained to the Cuban News Agency that the company has completed the delivery of more than 110,000 uniforms required. For the current school year and is continuing to work on the remaining uniforms.

Matos Martínez added that uniforms are also being made for scholarship students in pre-university, polytechnic, and teacher training schools. With a demand exceeding 20,000 garments.

The specialist explained that this uniform responds to the priorities established by the Ministry of Domestic Trade (MINCIN) for new student enrollment. Taking into account the variation in requested sizes, and its distribution is handled by the requesting store.

Moreover the company’s four workshops are focused on the industrial processing of garments to complete production as quickly as posible. Despite power outages and worker illnesses due to the current epidemiological situation in the country, factors that have slowed the process.

To maximize the use of raw materials, waste is reused to manufacture cushions, napkins, and other supplies. Also which are sold at the Lidia Doce workshop’s sales point, depending on availability.

Yamarex belongs to the Boga Textile Manufacturing Company and dedicates its production to social programs. Its main clients include the Ministries of Domestic Trade, the Revolutionary Armed Forces, Public Health, and other organizations.
