With only the remaining games to be played, the standings are as follows, in the top section: Las Tunas (44-23); Matanzas (45-27, 1.5 points behind) and Holguin (43-28, 3.0 points behind). All three having secured their spots in the quarterfinals. Followed by Mayabeque (40-29, 5.0 points behind); Sancti Spiritus (41-31, 5.5 points behind); and Industriales (39-30, 6.0 points behind). Artemisa (37-32, 8.0) and Cienfuegos (36-32, 8.5).
Following from ninth to thirteenth place, still with a mathematical chance of qualifying, are: Pinar del Rio (35-32); Santiago de Cuba (33-36). Villa Clara (27-32); Granma (30-36); and Ciego de Avila (26-36).
