The Eastern Zonal Tournament of the 9th National Boxing Series opened this Monday in the Fernando de Dios Buñuel Indoor Arena in Holguin.
The event features five teams from eastern Cuba, who will compete in a round-robin format. With two daily matches for two tickets to the final round, which will also be held at the Cuban City of Parks.
Also the Holguin squad’s main representatives include national team members Jorge Soto Nápoles (80 kg, Cueto). Who participated in the Manchester World Championships. Yeinier Wuatson (65 kg, Mayari); and Jairo Munive (70 kg, Gibara).

In addition to Samuel Campos (60 kg “Calixto García”) and the provincial head coach Daniel Duran Michel (70 kg Holguin). Daniel de la Torre Lores (90 kg), and Jean Pierre González Cantillo (+90 kg).
Futhermore the coaching team is led by head coach Erisk Blanco Moreno. Along with Oscar Revé Zaldívar, Mijaíl Espinosa Mola. Rolando Palacio Arcaya, René Díaz Solano, and provincial commissioner José Mario Heredia.
The final of the National Boxing Series will take place from December 10th to 17th, again in the province of Holguin, with six teams, two from each region.
