Under the motto “Moncadistas: Always ready,” first-grade pioneers received the blue scarf certifying them as new members of the José Martí Pioneers Organization (OPJM) in a moving ceremony held at the Monument to Commander Ernesto Che Guevara in the city of Holguin.
The event, held as part of the day of tribute to the Heroic Guerrilla and Camilo Cienfuegos. Brought together parents, teachers, representatives of the government, the Communist Party of Cuba, and political and mass organizations from the territory. Who celebrated the incorporation of these new members into one of the most emblematic institutions of the Cuban educational system.

During the ceremony, the children not only received their insignia, but also solemnly swore to undertake this formative stage. As a worthy tribute to both heroes, to become heirs to their legacy.
Lisbeth Cruz Ochil, municipal president of the OPJM in the main municipality, congratulated the group and urged them to be consistent with their commitment. She also stated: “Starting today, first-grade students throughout the province will display this important symbol in every educational setting. Reaffirming their dedication to study and their development as good men and women, future continuers of Cuba’s cultural and economic work.”

With the addition of more than nine thousand children throughout the province. The OPJM strengthens its role in the comprehensive education of new generations. Instilling the values of study, responsibility, and love for the homeland from an early age.
