The Ibero-American Cultural Festival in Holguin

The month of October brings the Ibero-American Cultural Festival back to the city of Holguin every year, celebrating its 31st edition in 2025.

Scheduled for October 24-30th, the event welcomes cultural tourism enthusiasts, artists, intellectuals, academics, and entrepreneurs in general. The festival, promoted by the House of Ibero-America and the Provincial Directorate of Culture in Holguin. It will have Culture and Sustainable Development as its central theme.

It is a privileged event for a groundbreaking and avant-garde artistic movement. Making the festivities the ideal setting for a meeting of cultures that takes place in different spaces.

It will include the 20th Ibero-American Congress of Thought. The Ibero-American Colloquium of Literature. The Virtual Ibero-American Visual Arts Exhibition, dedicated on this occasion to cultural diversity in our region and the Third Meeting of Paper Artists. The Ibero-American Audiovisual Showcase; Iberocuento. The Iberoarte Crafts Fair; the Cultural Centers (Ibérico, Casa del Taita, Latin America and the Caribbean), and the International Artistic Brigades.

The Ibero-American Cultural Festival began in 1992, following the 500th anniversary of the Encounter of the Two Worlds. Cultural and research figures such as Armando Hart Dávalos, Eusebio Leal. José Manuel Guarch Delmonte, and María Dolores Ortiz have been linked to its history.

The event highlights the common historical and cultural roots that unite the nations that make up this community. Characterized by a cultural mosaic of broad and rich nuances. It is an integrated project of theoretical, artistic, community, and sociocultural spaces. That fosters dialogue, exchange, and solidarity among the peoples of the region.
