The First Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) in the province of Holguin, Joel Queipo Ruíz, led a tour of areas of the food and fishing industry to observe the progress, results, and production prospects for 2025 in the territory.
The delegation accompanying Queipo Ruíz visited the Holguin Beverage and Soft Drink Company (Ember), which belongs to the parent company of Granma province. Where its general director, Martín Pupo Marrero, spoke about the founding of the alcohol and beverage industry in this eastern region.

Representatives from the agri-food sector, the marketing process, and the Provincial Union of Food and Fishing Industry Workers were also present in the exhibition area.

As traditional beverages, Ember produces Guayabero raisin wine, Gallero sugarcane brandy with ginger, and Coronilla flavored brandy. While through production chains, it offers Bariay seasoning, El Guayabero Chinese sauce, dry wine, and natural vinegar.

Among its rum varieties is Añejo Bariay, presented at the Holguin International Trade Fair in 2022.
During the conclusion of his visit to Ember in Holguin, the province’s top political leader, and also a member of the PCC Central Committee. Exchanged experiences with workers on the main production lines.
Also where he witnessed their commitment and contribution in the framework of the celebration of the centennial of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
