President Miguel Díaz-Canel sent his congratulations this Saturday to the Cuban athletes who won medals at the II Junior Pan American Games in Asunción 2025.
The head of state highlighted on social media that the athletics competition garnered eight titles. As well as gold medals in wrestling, weightlifting, rowing, taekwondo, canoeing, and diving.
“Courage, dedication, and learning distinguished a generation that, despite many challenges, shows promise,” he emphasized.
Cuba finished first in the athletics medal table at the II Junior Pan American Games in Asunción 2025. Winning eight gold medals, three silver, and two bronze, surpassing Canada and Colombia.
Meanwhile, it placed third in wrestling (3-5-2) and canoeing (3-3-3).
