Amidst recognition, songs, and dances, Cueto’s women federated members held the municipal event for the organization’s 65th anniversary. It was presided over by Yuneidys Batista, member of the PCC Municipal Bureau. Elizabeth Martínez Quintero, general secretary of the FMC in the province of Holguin. Among other guests from political and mass organizations, and the public.
Here, blocks 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 15, and 18 of the municipality of Cueto were recognized.
Distinguished women received certificates for their achievements, including Emelina Pérez, founder and former president of the FMC. Reina Mirian Pereira, 15-year-old delegation leader. And others such as Amalia Durán, Rosa Avilés, Marielena Rodríguez, Yaritza Hidalgo, and Doralkis Pérez, among others.
Moreover Natividad Proenza Lores, general secretary of the FMC in Cueto, congratulated all the members who have maintained their Outstanding status at the provincial and national levels.
Proenza said: “We in Cueto are proud of the achievements made in meeting the organization’s main indicators. The operation of the Women and Family Guidance Center, where our specialists put all their efforts into addressing each case.”
Also “The preventive work and care for families in vulnerable situations, where our social workers and volunteer health brigades play an important role. The joint work with Public Health, the maternal and child program, care for teenage pregnancy, drug use, and the work with the education sector,” among other results.”
“A message of encouragement to those women who fight for a better world and, especially, the Palestinians who suffer from Israel’s genocide,” Proenza said.
In conclusion “The Revolution will continue to count on the strength of Cuban women as “True conquerors of the impossible,” concluded the women’s leader in Cueto.
