Mayari celebrates the ordinary session of the MAPP

The Municipal Assembly of Popular Power of Mayari holds this Saturday the twenty-first ordinary session of the eighteenth term of office.

The meeting brings together popular representatives to discuss issues related to government management. Food sovereignty, work with children and adolescents. As well as the territorial reorganization of this Holguin region.

The agenda includes an analysis of the state of compliance with the agreements adopted in previous sessions. As well as the general decisions made by the president between sessions, which must be validated by the full Assembly.

One of the central points will be the presentation of the report from the Municipal Administration Council. Regarding the fulfillment of the actions projected by the local government for the year 2025.

This aspect will be complemented by the corresponding report from the Commission of Local Organs, responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of these commitments.

They will also report on the progress of the Ministry of Food Industry program. Accompanied by a technical report from the permanent commission on agri-food issues.

In that same vein, they will examine compliance with Law 148 on Food Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security, which is key to guaranteeing the people’s right to sustainable food.

Another relevant report will address the results of the municipal group on prevention and social care in the support of children, youth, and adolescents, with an emphasis on the social challenges of the area.

During the session of the highest state body in the municipality, they will evaluate the treatment of citizen proposals arising from accountability processes, reports, and economic planning. Which constitutes a direct indicator of the government’s relationship with the people and its level of response.

As a novelty, they will submit new regulations on land use and urban planning for approval. Supported by an audiovisual projection that will illustrate the proposed changes.

The session will conclude with a report from the Popular Council of Guaro, whose representatives will explain the fulfillment of their duties and the impact of their management on the community.
