The XLVIII Provincial Baseball Series will begin In July

The second division of the XLVIII Provincial Baseball Series “Jorge Francis Merencio” will start next July 5th with the participation of six teams.

Also this was informed by Irochi Bartutis Perez, head of this sport in the province of Holguin. Who added that a round robin will be played with subseries of two games on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 am.

Moreover each team must play a total of 10 games and at the end of the calendar. The top team will win the only ticket in dispute for the First Division of the XLIX Series, which will take place in 2026.

Then the six lowest-placed teams in the 47th season will take part in this competition: Navegantes de Freyre, Ferroviarios de Cueto, Mambises de Cacocum, Indios de Banes, Delfines de Antilla and Leones del municipio de Frank País.

So, the inauguration will take place on July 5th at the Mariano Camacho Romero stadium. With a match between the local Navegantes and the Mambises. The schedule will be completed with the Ferroviarios-Leones games at the Luis Alberto Rodríguez Blanco stadium and the Delfines-Indios (Thelmo Esperance).
