On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC in the Spanish acronym), which will be celebrated on August 23th, the organization in Holguin is redoubling its efforts to consolidate its impact on society. Especially in addressing issues affecting women and their families.
Yamisley Pupo Rodríguez, member of the provincial secretariat of the FMC in Holguin. Stressed that this date represents a key opportunity to review strategies. Renew commitments and promote greater female participation in all areas.
Current priorities include support for female federates outside the educational and labor system. As well as preventive initiatives aimed at young people and vulnerable communities.
Pupo emphasized that the approach is not limited to internal work, but seeks to extend to society. Where women play a fundamental role in the transformation of their realities.
During these days, the FMC in Holguin plans activities that reinforce its work and make visible the achievements reached in six and a half decades of uninterrupted work.
With a renewed focus, the organization ratifies its commitment to continue being a space of reference for the defense of women’s rights and welfare in Cuba.
