Cuba-China Cooperation Forum at 5th Health Convention

As part of the Global Health and International Cooperation Symposium. The Cuba-China Forum is meeting today to discuss the prospects for health collaboration between the two countries. As part of the activities of the 5th International Convention, Cuba Salud 2025, at the Havana Convention Center.

Dr. José Ángel Portal Miranda, Minister of Public Health, will give an opening lecture dedicated to this important topic. As the Asian nation is a major strategic partner and is present as a guest of honor with 11 companies.

Cuban and Chinese experts and international leaders will discuss professional collaboration and the use of this practice to improve the quality of medical services. As well as exchange experiences in responding to infectious disease emergencies.

They will also address strategies and actions to address climate change and natural disasters, according to the meeting program. Cuba Salud 2025 will also host the Medical Sciences Publishing Fair, with book presentations on optics and optometry, integrative medicine, pediatric oncology, traumatic heart injuries, among other topics.

At the same time, there will be meetings with Cubans abroad, panels on drug regulatory systems and local production, an International Symposium on Health Communication in the Face of Global Challenges, and science and innovation for the sustainability of health systems and services.

The scientific activities of the First One Health Congress, symposia on primary care, oral health, a maternal and child program, and a workshop on economics in the health context, will continue on this second day of the Convention to Strengthen Universal Health Coverage.

Working sessions of the International Conference on Medical Education, the Hygiene and Epidemiology Forum, and a symposium on climate change, natural disasters, and international humanitarian law will also be held on this day, covering topics necessary to enhance professional training in the sector.

The Cuba Salud 2025 partner fairs will continue their activities at the Pabexpo fairgrounds with conferences on artificial intelligence and medical technologies, and the contributions of the biopharmaceutical industry to the treatment of chronic, neurodegenerative, and infectious diseases, as well as cancer.

The second edition of the International Health Tourism Seminar will open, showcasing achievements in this specialized area aimed at personal well-being and exchanging experiences with the Russian market.

Cuba Salud 2025, which concludes on the 25th, hosts some 400 scientific activities and more than 200 keynote addresses, panels, symposia, and meetings. It will provide a space for reflection on current and future challenges in national and international health.
