Collectives with the Vanguard Status was recognized in Holguin

As part of the celebrations for International Workers’ Day. The Central de Trabajadores de Cuba in Holguin recognizes 36 labor groups with the National Vanguard status. The highest decoration awarded by the union movement to entities outstanding for their productive excellence and social commitment.

To date, 13 of these recognitions have been granted to companies and institutions. That have stood out for their performance and their contribution to the economic development of the territory.

The winners belong to unions such as Public Administration; Commerce, Gastronomy and Services; Communications and Computer Science; Construction; Culture; Industry and others. It shows the diversity and solidity of the Holguin labor movement. Among the highlights are the Construction Materials Company of Holguin, Médano, and the Maintenance and Rehabilitation Company of Hydraulic Works.

The latter recognized for exceeding its production plan by 116%. Generating revenues of more than 203 million pesos and exceeding its expected profits by 168%.

For the tenth consecutive year, the Engineering Services Company-Integrated Management of Transfer Projects received the distinction. An example of the persistent effort of its workers. Who, despite the difficulties, promote key works for national progress.

The Provincial Real Estate Management Company was also recognized. Reaffirming its commitment to contribute significantly to the provincial budget. The tourism sector was represented by the Gran Muthu Almirante Hotel. While the “La Trocha” Farm of the Provincial CTC, the “Inejiro Asanuma” Spinning Mill, the Holguin Legal Services Company. The CEDAI Base Business Unit, the ExpoHolguin Company, the Lidio Ramón Pérez de Felton Thermoelectric Power Plant and the Constelaciones restaurant complete the list of recognized.

The condition: Vanguardia Nacional (National Vanguard) not only rewards the merits achieved. But also motivates other labor centers to replicate these successes. Thus strengthening the labor movement and the Cuban economy in a scenario of challenges and opportunities.
