A large delegation from Holguin participates in the XIX International Congress of Pedagogy 2025 that concludes this February 13 at the Havana Convention Palace, an event of great relevance in the educational field, both nationally and internationally.
The event that brings together around a thousand educators, researchers and pedagogy specialists from all over Cuba and more than 30 countries, promotes an enriching exchange of ideas and good educational practices for a better development of teaching work in the global educational environment.
This is confirmed by the more than 40 professionals from the province of Holguin attending the largest Pedagogy event in the country, where this year there is also a debate on science and innovation for sustainable human development.
The province’s participation was made up of a varied representation of educators from across the territory and from different teachings. The nine delegates attending the event from the University of Holguin, where Dr. Francisca Arranz Aranda, professor at the Faculty of Educational Sciences.
Also methodologist of the Directorate of Science, Technology and Innovation of the House of Higher Studies of the northeastern territory, it is enormous satisfaction and pride to participate as a delegate to Pedagogy 2025, where the experiences are many.
«Among the best experiences of the event is undoubtedly participation in the “Life Purposes” conference of the Marcelino Muñoz Foundation of Mexico, who encourages us to achieve greater preparation in our students through the Teacher-Tutor Diploma,” he noted.
The Holguin teacher also participated at the stand of the General Directorate of Holguin, in the presentation of the book Professional Approach in the Initial Training of the Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education, a book that was one of the results of a research project that bears the same name.
“This presentation,” he explained, “consisted of promoting what researchers do to promote love for the profession in our students, motivation for the career, and enhancing professional interests as one more way to make the sector grow in the province.”
After the closing of Pedagogy 2025 this Thursday, it remains for the Holguin delegation to return to its territory and socialize the experiences acquired in an international event of such magnitude, from which the work on teacher improvement will continue.
The International Pedagogy Congress is an event convened every two years by the Ministry of Education in Cuba, together with the support of regional and international organizations in the sector, which is consolidated as a fundamental space for the professional development of educators, pedagogical innovation and the strengthening of the educational system at a global level.
Likewise, it serves as a platform to show the achievements and challenges of the Cuban educational system, allowing critical analysis and reflection on its evolution and strategies, in addition to facilitating the creation of collaboration networks between education professionals from different countries.
