The people from province of Holguin celebrated this December 28 the provincial ceremony for the 65th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution, at “Pedro Diaz Coello” Square, in the nicknamed Cuban City of the Parks, right before the year ends.
The municipality of Holguin was worthy of the venue, won by the work dedication and unity of its leaders with the hard-working and revolutionary people.
In the event were present the highest political and governmental leaders of the province and of the head municipality and together with them, representations of the Young Communist League, mass organizations, students, the Army, the Ministry of Interior, members of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution and religious leaders.

There, the people of Holguin were recognized for their fidelity to the legacy of our heroes and martyrs of the Homeland, a generation that is devoted to the creative work, as a genuine expression of continuity of the work.
On the day of celebrations, the highest authorities of the Party and the Government in the municipality recognized organizations that stand out for their results this year, among them, the mother-child programs, income collection, production of construction materials and urban, suburban and family agriculture.
There, the people of Holguin were recognized for their loyalty to the legacy of our heroes and martyrs of the Homeland, a generation that is devoted to creative work, as a genuine expression of continuity of the work.
During the day of celebrations, the highest authorities of the Party and the Government in the municipality recognized organizations that stand out for their results this year, among them, the mother-child programs, income collection, production of construction materials and urban, suburban and family agriculture.
Sports, physical culture and recreation, the Educa a tu hijo program, the radio program “Los niños preguntan”, of Radio Holguín, the Casa de la Cultura “Manuel Dositeo Aguilera” and the Popular Council “Pedro Díaz Coello” were also honored.
Also received applause from all the people companies and entities that maintained productions and services in this so complex year, such as Health, Education, Bandec, the Prosecutor’s Office, the construction companies Médano, Garbo and Ecoi 9 and 16.
The companies Universal, Expoholguín, Palmares, Etecsa, Ember, Bucanero, Yamarex, Tourism, Termoeléctrica “Lidio Ramón Pérez” of Felton and several cooperative production units of the territory were also recognized.
In the comprehensive work by municipalities, Calixto García and Rafael Freyre stood out and, as outstanding, the territories of Gibara and Moa.
In a special way it was made the delivery of the Trophy and the Banner that accredit Holguin as the host of the main activities for the 65th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.

At the end of the ceremony, more than 10 works of economic and social benefit were inaugurated, such as the Grandparents’ House number 5 of the “Pedro Díaz Coello” Popular Council, a microbiology room, a pharmacy, the “Manuel Angulo” elementary school, a Hemodialysis Room and a Neurophysiology Laboratory.
He also reopened a housing block, an energy matrix with 24 panels, a motor car, the Ranchón del Mirador, the “Fermín Laffita” baseball field and an intermediate care unit, the only one of its kind in Cuba, with the capacity to ventilate 16 children simultaneously at the Pediatric Hospital “Octavio de la Concepción de la Pedraja”.
