Holguin is filled with color and joy these days. Immersed in a full schedule of activities to celebrate the upcoming 64th anniversary of the José Martí Pioneer Organization (OPJM). And the 63rd anniversary of the Union of Young Communists (UJC).
As part of the artistic program marking these significant dates. Various companies and community groups are joining the festivities. With the “Little Artists” sociocultural project being a highlight.
This collective, which encompasses the four fundamental art forms—music, theater, visual arts, and dance. So it is winning the hearts of Holguin’s celebrations with its talent.
Under the direction of Roxana Figueredo, the “Voces de Cristal” choir delights with its melodies. While Delsis Hernández guides the “Teatro de las Ilusiones” (Theater of Illusions) toward fantasy scenarios.
Likewise, the visual arts come alive with the group “Pequeñuelos,” led by Yaquelín Córdoba, and dance. Which retains its original name of “Pequeños Artistas” (Little Artists). Some dazzles under the tutelage of Maylén Alfonso García, the project’s director.
According to Alfonso García, the tour of performances by these young talents began with a moving gala on April 1st at the Lucía Íñiguez Landín Clinical Surgical Hospital. Also bringing a message of celebration and hope to the healthcare institution.
The magic continued to unfold at the Holguin Art Center. Where, in collaboration with the OPJM (José Martí Pioneer Organization), cultural activities were held. Including piñatas and the participation of special guests such as the “Magia de los Sueños” (Magic of Dreams) Sociocultural Project.
Also the performances promise to continue captivating the Holguin audience. On the 4th at 2:00 p.m., the Plaza de la Marqueta Cultural Complex will host a special event where the “Little Artists” will share the spotlight. With the Fantasy Fashion Group and other guests.
“Our children have prepared an unforgettable show. There will be vibrant choreography, multicolored costumes, and all the joy that characterizes this generation growing up creating.” Stated Alfonso García, emphasizing the children’s enthusiasm and dedication.
The artistic journey will continue. After their performance at Plaza de la Marqueta. Also the group will travel to the Emilio Bárcenas community to offer another show encompassing diverse artistic expressions, honoring the occasion.
Moreover the celebrations will culminate next Sunday at the Villa Bariay Recreational Center. With the traditional “Rhythms and Smiles” event. Where children will enjoy laughter and fun alongside the charismatic clown Florecita.
Through these initiatives, the “Little Artists” project not only promotes and showcases the immense talent of children in Holguin, but also strengthens the sense of community and belonging among the youngest residents.
