The Lidio Ramón Pérez Thermoelectric Power Plant in Felton is undertaking critical technical work this Tuesday for its synchronization. While the province of Holguin resumes its connection to the National Electrical System.
Also the director of the Provincial Load Dispatch Office, Davielquis Cortina Cobas, reported that the Holguin plant is performing a cleaning of the regenerative air heaters. A process prior to its scheduled startup for peak hours.
Following the outage that occurred the previous day, the territory currently has approximately 35 megawatts supplied through the National Electrical System (SEN). Allowing for the gradual recovery of strategic sectors in several municipalities of Holguin.
The energization strategy prioritizes vital circuits such as 12 and 20. Ensuring supply to essential health institutions such as the Pediatric Hospital, the Military Hospital, and the Lucía Íñiguez Landín Clinical-Surgical Hospital.
Moreover the Revolución circuit, which supplies power to the Mayari hospital. Along with the areas of Alcala, Banes 2, Piedra Blanca, Baldosa, the Holguin Industrial Zone. And circuits 3, 15, 16, and 22, also have electrical service.
Authorities are monitoring the increase in thermal power generation nationwide to continue closing circuits in a controlled manner. Stabilize the water and electricity supply to the population.
