Cuban media outlets today highlighted a statement from the Attorney General’s Office. According to which six individuals have been charged for recently attempting to infiltrate the archipelago to carry out terrorist acts.
The Prosecutor’s Office ordered their pretrial detention. Also according to the notification published in the digital editions of most Cuban newspapers.
Respecting the rights and guarantees enshrined in the Constitution and the laws. The statement clarifies that the entity “will ensure compliance with due process. Once the investigations are concluded, will adopt the corresponding procedural decisions.”
“Moreover the Attorney General’s Office will continue to act in accordance with its constitutional mandate. Within the framework of the law, in defense of our people and the country’s institutions,” the official statement emphasizes.
