Transfermóvil Expands Reservation Service for Foreign Currency

With the new version of Transfermóvil (V.1.251225), the reservation service for foreign currency purchases has been expanded. To include a greater number of CADECA exchange bureaus in Cuba. As reported to Radio Angulo Digital by Iliana Fernández, public relations specialist for Etecsa in Holguin.

This option will be available not only to the more than 5.6 million consumers who manage their bank accounts through the platform. But also to the more than 894,000 users with virtual accounts in the MiTransfer wallet. To access this service, users must authenticate within the app and select the “My Appointment” option under the “Operation” tab.

Moreover the process requires entering the customer’s ID number. Which will be used to manage the request, and selecting the local CADECA (currency exchange bureau) where the transaction will take place.

Also the consumer will be able to select their payment method. Either by card or through the MiTransfer Wallet, the public relations representative clarified. The service costs 10.00 CUP, and reservations can be made for up to four different people. While these requests are being processed, no new appointments can be requested.

Optionally, the user can also provide a mobile phone number for confirmations. When the request is generated, an order number is assigned based on the selected CADECA, Fernández explained.

Users who have registered an additional number for notifications will receive a text message (SMS) 24 hours before their appointment. And another on the day of the appointment. With details about the date and the CADECA office they should go to in order to make the purchase. The specialist concluded that, if needed and before an appointment is scheduled. It is possible to change the date from which the user wishes to be considered for appointments.
