The Revolutionary Government condemns in the strongest terms the US military aggression against Venezuela. Also reiterates Cuba’s support and solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex) stated today.
A Minrex statement indicates that the country supports the address by Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez. It endorses the demand that the US government provide proof of life for the constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, Cilia Flores.
The Foreign Ministry’s statement reiterates its support for the determination of the Bolivarian and Chavista government. Its people to reject the aggression and defend their independence and sovereignty. The cowardly US aggression is a criminal act, violating International Law and the Charter of the United Nations.
Moreover the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex) emphasizes that Cuba has been dangerously escalating the war campaign. Waged for years by the United States against this sister nation. Intensified by the aggressive naval deployment in the Caribbean Sea. Under mendacious pretexts and unfounded accusations devoid of any evidence, since September 2025.
Cuba emphatically demands the immediate release by U.S. authorities of President Nicolás Maduro Moros and Vice President Cilia Flores, the statement asserts.
It is a blatant imperialist and fascist aggression with the aim of domination. Intended to revive U.S. hegemonic ambitions over Latin America. Rooted in the Monroe Doctrine, and with the goal of having unrestricted access to and control over the natural resources of Venezuela and the region, it affirms.
The document also warns that it seeks to intimidate and subjugate the governments of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Meanwhile the consequences of this irresponsible act remain to be seen. The United States government, President Donald Trump, and his Secretary of State, Marco Rubio. Along with the aggressive and hostile elements in Latin America and the Caribbean. They are responsible for the deaths and the human and material damage already caused. In which may result from the aggression.
The statement recalls that the governments of the region, representing their people. Unanimously signed the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace in January 2014 in Havana. An aspiration that is under attack by the United States.
Likewise, it urges the international community to prevent such an aggression of this nature and gravity against a UN Member State from going unpunished. Including the kidnapping, through a military operation, of the legitimate and sitting president of a sovereign country without facing consequences.
Venezuela is a peaceful country that has not attacked the United States or any other nation. For this sister nation and its people, we are prepared to give. As we are for Cuba, even our own blood, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms.
The Revolutionary Government calls on all governments, parliaments, social movements, and peoples of the world to condemn the United States’ military aggression against Venezuela. And to confront this act of state terrorism that threatens international peace and security. It seeks to impose a new doctrine of U.S. imperialist domination on the world, on Latin America and the Caribbean in particular.
All nations in the region must be vigilant, as the threat hangs over them all. In Cuba, our determination to fight is firm and unwavering. The decision is singular: Homeland or Death, the statement concludes.
