In the final stretch of the qualifying schedule, the Pinar del Rio Vegueros defended their home turf at Capitán San Luis Stadium. Securing their 39th victory with a 5-1 win over Industriales. Clinging to eighth place in the standings.
Left-hander Gabriel Cantero delivered a commanding performance, pitching six innings and allowing only a solo home run to Yaser Julio González. Frank Abel Álvarez finished the game in relief, while Remberto Barreto took the loss.
The western team’s offense was spearheaded by Lester Benítez, who drove in four runs with a performance that included two singles and a timely double.
