The qualifying battle continues today in the National Baseball Series

The 64th National Baseball Series continues today after a day of rest. Allowing teams to catch their breath before heading into the final stretch in search of postseason berths.

Each team has just seven regular season games remaining before the National Commission decides how to play the 24 suspended games. A real headache given the proximity of the playoff dates and the Caribbean Series.

The reigning champions, the Las Tunas Lumberjacks, and the Matanzas Crocodiles remain at the top of the standings. They are already developing strategies for the quarterfinal matchups. Although they must maintain their competitive edge, as several objectives remain at stake.

Finally, the Pinar del Rio Vegueros, playing at their home stadium, Capitán San Luis. Need to string together wins to climb into the top spots after suffering two defeats against the Camagüey Bulls, a team with nothing left to lose.
