BioCubaFarma to Exhibit Extensive Products and Innovations at FIHAV 2025

At the 41st Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2025), BioCubaFarma, the Cuban biotechnology industry group, will present a comprehensive exhibition of its production and innovation capabilities.

David Curbelo, the organization’s commercial director, explained to Cubadebate that this year they will showcase their entire commercial portfolio, which comprises 355 registered products.

“This figure includes not only medicines and vaccines, but also specialized services, natural products, and a variety of therapeutic solutions. With applications in human and animal health, and even in the agricultural sector,” he added.

The director emphasized that the commercial strategy is geared toward seeking international partners. To facilitate the introduction of these products into global markets.

Beyond the products already on the market, BioCubaFarma is presenting an ambitious portfolio of 400 research and development projects, he noted. He mentioned that among the products seeking the “Made in Cuba” brand recognition are several high-tech developments. Such as Heberprot-P, developed by the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB). Which represents a significant advance in the treatment of advanced diabetic foot ulcers.

As an innovation for this edition, BioCubaFarma is organizing the Economic Integration Mechanisms Forum. Which will take place in the mezzanine of Pavilion 2. “This space is specifically designed to promote business exchange and the identification of business opportunities in strategic sectors,” the executive reported.

“The forum will focus on three key sectors: health, agriculture, and the biopharmaceutical industry. While simultaneously establishing links with equivalent sectors. In member countries of integration mechanisms such as the BRICS and the Eurasian Economic Union.”
