Two Holguin natives to the Taekwondo World Championships

Two Holguin natives appear on the Cuban team that traveled to Paris to participate in the World Taekwondo Championships. Which will be held in the Chinese city of Wuxi from October 24th to 30th.

A week in the French capital will allow the squad, made up of three women and an equal number of men. To complete their preparations for a very high-level competition.

The representatives of the most beautiful land are Marlyn Pérez (49 kg). Also the two-time competitor in such events, Tamara Roble (57 kg). Along with Arletty de la Caridad Acosta (73 kg), provide the female presence.

The men are Brayan José Cantero (68 kg), Kevin Calderón (80 kg), and Yoikel Daniel Goicochea (+87 kg), champion of the 2025 Asuncion Junior Pan American Games.

The athletes were accompanied by coaches Arnoy Rojas, vice president and technical director of the Cuban Sports Federation. And the experienced Anaisa Hernández.

The expectation is to achieve performances that will position Cuba on the world circuit in a competition that will bring together athletes from more than 100 countries.
