The selection of the young full professor at the University of Medical Sciences of Holguin. Also president of the Academic Committee of the Biostatistics Specialty. And a second-level specialist in that discipline, represented “an honor and a great responsibility.

A great explicit recognition of my scientific and academic career. As a platform to continue my development as a professional and work toward the application of science to solve problems in the biomedical sciences.”

This recognition translates into a social responsibility. Which according to the research associate, is a commitment to the scientific and social development of the province and the country in general. “It is a great joy and satisfaction to be able to live as a young person and participate in scientific development in the medical sciences,” she concluded.

For these professionals, being part of the prestigious academy is a significant challenge. Because it entails professional development, remaining active, and contributing knowledge to science in every aspect, both in teaching and research.

This selection by the ACC was preceded by the launch of a call, months earlier, for all scientific institutions in the country. To conduct their internal selection process and nominate researchers and personalities with relevant careers.

Young people associated with the ACC, as a general rule, must be under 40 years of age, have defended doctorates or are in the process of completing them, and have a fruitful scientific and research career.
