The Iberoarte Handicraft Fair will return to the city of Holguin for its 23rd edition on October 17th. With the participation of 50 national exhibitors and 14 foreign exhibitors from countries such as Peru and Mexico.
Carmen Hernández, deputy commercial director of the Holguin branch of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC). Reported at a press conference that the national exhibitors include representatives from the provinces of Santiago de Cuba, Las Tunas, Havana, and Holguin.
As every year, the ExpoHolguin Fairgrounds will host the evento. Dedicated this time to the centennial of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and to seven important figures in the history of the FCBC in Holguin: Julia Borrego, Maurice Fonseca, María del Carmen Aguilera, Elena Pozo, Jorge Luis Betancourt, Lauro Echavarría, and Julio Méndez.
Iberoarte 2025, open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Aims to reach out to communities and other municipalities. Including Moa and Gibara, and to make donations to homes for elderly people and children without parental care.
Salón Lote, the quintessential space for the visual arts, will be held this time in competition format and dedicated to the artist Blanca Chacón Rodríguez and folk art. As part of Iberoarte 2025 and the Ibero-American Culture Festival.
Danilo Garcés, member of the Iberoarte 2025 organizing committee and space manager. Announced the participation of approximately 30 artists championing diverse techniques. The prize will be the acquisition of the winning piece for a value chosen by the artista. An initiative that seeks to promote institutional collecting.
