Rainfall Benefits Water Supply to Holguin

The rains of recent days have benefited the Güirabo, Gibara, and Cacoyugüín dams. Which supply water to the city of Holguin, one of the municipalities most affected by the intense drought and which is undergoing a comprehensive program of actions aimed at reversing this situation.

Juan Mario Echavarría Hernández, territorial delegate for the sector, told the Cuban News Agency that Güirabo increased its volume to 520 million cubic meters. Gibara reached 212, and Cacoyugüin reached 39.
