Foreign Minister Yván Gil warned of a likely US aggression against Venezuela, as he opened the 7th Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends in Defense of the United Nations Charter.
Speaking at the forum, held in the context of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. The senior diplomat emphasized that an attack is being prepared against his country “with increasing force, intensity, and more lies.”
He emphasized that the Venezuelan people are prepared to resist and win in perfect national unity and warned that the escalation of a conflict or aggression. No matter how small, “would become a catastrophe” for the entire región. Because it is not Venezuela they are attacking, but the entire Caribbean and Latin America.
