The Cuban resort city of Varadero will host the 2026 Gaviota Destinations Tourist Exchange from September 13 to 17 of next year, a highly important event for promoting tourism in the archipelago.
According to the website www.radio26.cu, the information was made official by the president of the Gaviota Tourism Group, Carlos Latuff, during the recent closing ceremony of the seventh edition held in Cayo Santa María.
Tradition, modernity, and nature will intertwine to show the world the infinite potential of our beautiful island, affirmed Latuff.
According to the press, 2026 will be a year of important events in Varadero, as in early May it will host the International Tourism Fair and later the Tourist Exchange, two of the main tourism events in Cuba.
Luis Martínez, the delegate of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) in Matanzas, asserted that these events will be an ideal opportunity to showcase not only the beaches, but also the commitment of a reinventing tourist destination and the magic of an authentic destination.
The information site points out that Cuba’s main beach resort currently houses 57 hotels and 23,106 rooms, and receives approximately 39 percent of the international tourists who visit the country.
