Díaz-Canel arrives in Havana after tour in Vietnam, China, and Laos

President Miguel Díaz-Canel arrived in Havana this Tuesday after concluding an international tour of Vietnam, China, and Laos. Countries he thanked for their affection, solidarity, and hospitality.

The president was received by Vice President Salvador Valdés. Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, and Roberto Morales, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba.

Díaz-Canel expressed on the social media platform X his willingness to continue working to achieve everything agreed upon during the tour “for the well-being of our nations.” “Always count on Cuba,” he emphasized.

The head of state’s visit took place from August 31st to September 7th, within the framework of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of historic relations with Vietnam and China. Countries with which Cuba maintains close ties of solidarity and cooperation.

In the case of Laos, the priority Cuba places on fraternal and friendly relations with that country was reaffirmed.
