Nearly 6,500 students in Holguin have access to the sector plan. An additional option for acquiring mobile data offered by the Cuban Telecommunications Company S.A. (Etecsa) following the new measures implemented last June.

The director emphasized the importance of encouraging young people to apply for their lines. As there are still more than 10,000 applicants, according to information gathered by the management of each educational institution, who have not yet visited the branches to complete the process.
Sánchez clarified that the offices and services will always be open to young people who wish to register a telephone line in their name. Without a time limit, until everyone has access to the offer.
The Cuban Telecommunications Company, committed to supporting education and building a digital society, recently introduced two new mobile data packages in the country. Including the sector-specific plan aimed at young university students, which offers 6 GB for 360 pesos.
