She added that epidemiological surveillance is maintained in the family doctor’s and nurse’s offices. With emphasis on the main municipality, one of the highest risk areas.
He also referred to the use of face masks as a protective measure in crowded places, a prevention strategy.
Dengue is a viral infection transmitted to people by mosquitoes, most common in tropical and subtropical climates.
In conclusion most patients experience high fever, headache, nausea, and a skin rash. The disease can be cured in about two weeks. Although in some cases it worsens and requires hospitalization.
