The Municipal Directorate of Culture in Holguin confirmed the celebration of the Holguin 2025 Popular Festivals (carnivals) between August 14th and 17th. With local and foreign artistic talents who will liven up the days for the enjoyment of the people of Holguin.
The festivities will begin this Thursday at 8:00 p.m. local time, with a Musical Revue in Plaza Camilo Cienfuegos. The gala, under the motto “Scan and Enjoy,” directed by Víctor Osorio, promises many surprises, according to Armando Machado Yamayo, a communicator for the Municipal Directorate of Culture.
“Admission will cost 30 pesos. A contest is planned in the space in which the public must scan a QR code. Once they enter, they will be entered into a raffle, and several participants will be randomly selected during the gala.”
The evening will feature prominent soloists from the province, including Delvis Lozano, Mariem Hernández, Ernesto Infante, Gilberto Torres “Candela,” and Luis Alberto Góngora, who will offer a diverse repertoire.
Also participating will be the Golden Voices group, and the companies Tiempo, Cuba Soy, Recrearte, and Fantasías, the latter from Santiago de Cuba, with their human floats, special guests from that province.
The gala program, in addition to local talent, includes a performance by singer Juan Guillermo “JG,” scheduled for after 11:00 pm.
Three other main venues are planned for the 2025 Holguin Popular Festivals: the Mayor General Calixto García Stadium, Avenida de los Álamos, and the Pedro Díaz Coello Community.
The Commission reported that the four venues will be open from noon on Friday until midnight on Sunday. Offering a wide range of cultural and creative offerings for the entire family.
As a complement to the enjoyment, Rigoberto Romero Arochena, president of the Popular Festivals Commission. Assured the public of a variety of culinary offerings, including typical Cuban dishes such as chicken, pork, fish, boiled vegetables, corn, and the city’s classic pizza. He also emphasized the availability of sufficient beer for the public in the four main areas.
The Popular Festivals will also have a space for the little ones on Saturday, August 16th at 9:00 a.m. in the Rubén Bravo Children’s Park. With performances by magicians, clowns, and the Zapia Duo.
With these offerings, the Central Commission invites the people of Holguin to join in the celebration of a festival of culture and tradition. Organized for the wholesome enjoyment the people deserve.
