As part of these programs, the pumps on the Nipe-Gibara and Cauto-Güirabo systems are being repaired, benefiting residents of the municipality of Holguin. The executive emphasized that the Nipe-Deleite canal, which contributes to supplying water to Antilla, Banes, and Mayari, is being cleaned.
Also Echavarría argued that the activation of generators in the municipalities of Baguano, Tacajo, and Urbano Noris will reduce the impacts caused by the energy crisis and maintain the vitality of those areas.
In parallel, progress is being made on replacing several kilometers of water lines. Installing water treatment plants, eliminating leaks, and installing water meters to facilitate water savings.
