Science, awareness, and innovation for the development in Holguin

Holguin held the First Provincial Fair of Science, Awareness, and Innovation for the Sustainable Development of Culture. As a prelude to the national event to be held from October 15th to 17th in the Cuban capital.

The national event, to be held within the context of the Cuban Cultural Day, will have several thematic axes. Among which innovation stands out as a strategic tool for the development of culture and its leading role in entities producing goods and services.

According to statements by the Director of Science, Innovation, and Environment of the Cuban Ministry of Culture, Alegna Jocomino. This type of fair is held primarily at the provincial level to promote coordination between different social actors and the results of science and innovation.

“The grassroots process constitutes a space for theoretical and practical exchange to promote culture through innovation and generate new proposals for technology transfer,” Jocomino stated.

In the case of Holguin, the event, led by the Provincial Directorate of Culture, took place in the halls of the Provincial Center for Visual Arts to keep Cuban culture alive and preserve local memories.

The application of science and innovation can contribute to the preservation and restoration of Cuban cultural heritage. Including architecture, visual arts, and music, hence the importance of events of this type.

Furthermore, the interaction between science and art can give rise to new forms of cultural expresion. As the incorporation of digital technologies into artistic creation opens up a range of possibilities for Holguin creators. Allowing them to experiment and reach audiences eager for new ways of interacting with different artistic expressions.
