CPAP invites from Holguin to participate in Visual Arts Salon

Details about the upcoming Visual Arts Salon, to be held next September in Holguin, were revealed in the Electa Arenal Hall of the Provincial Center for Visual Arts (CPAP).

The 31st edition of the event brings together artists from across the country. With the goal of showcasing a broader artistic variety and attracting other visual movements. In addition to offering a space for artists to exchange ideas.

At a press conference, Yuricel Moreno Zaldívar, director of the CPAP, reported that another new feature is the increase in the cash prize—previously 10,000 pesos in national currency and now 30,000 pesos. Also in addition to the possibility of presenting an exhibition project at the Center for the Development of Visual Arts in the Cuban capital.

Likewise, seeking to encourage a greater number of artists, this time, collateral prizes will be awarded by institutions such as the Casa de Iberoamérica. The Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC), the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS). The Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), and the Caguayo Foundation. Created and chaired by the prominent Cuban sculptor and National Prize winner for Plastic Arts, Alberto Lescay.

In the Visual Arts Salon, each artist may participate—with no restrictions on themes, genres, or techniques. Before the closing date of September 3rd—with a maximum of three pieces. Dated between 2024 and 2025, that have not won awards at other events.
