A group of children from Cuba will arrive at the Russian Orlionok International Children’s Center in the Krasnodar Region of Russia. After a break of almost 30 years, the center’s director, Alexander Dzheus, announced this Sunday.
“Cooperation with the Republic of Cuba was recently resumed, and 25 children will come with their mentors. After a break of almost 30 years, we are resuming cooperation with Cuba.” Dzheus told reporters at the Orlionok 65th anniversary celebrations.
The Orlionok International Center is an educational camp for children and young people between the ages of 11 and 16. Located in the Krasnodar Region of Russia, 45 kilometers from the city of Tuapse on the Black Sea coast.
Orlionok operates 10 basic children’s camps that can accommodate 1,500 children in the winter and more than 3,500 in the summer. Orliónok is a member of the International Camping Fellowship and the National Camp Association, and received UNESCO Associated School status in 2012.
