Holguin Calls for New Trade Fair

With the goal of fostering business alliances between state-owned companies and new forms of management. The Expo Holguin 2026 trade fair will be held in this eastern city from March 11th to 15th of next year.

Carmen Julia Pérez Méndez, director of the Holguin-Las Tunas delegation of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, stated during the presentation of the communications campaign that the event will serve as a platform for expanding investment projects and obtaining fresh capital injections.

She emphasized the importance of establishing competitive brands aimed at positioning themselves in the market, exploring local resources and potential.

Also for her part, Yunia Pérez Hernández, deputy governor of the territory, emphasized that this edition anticipates the participation of foreign nations and opportunities focused on the signing of collaboration agreements and keynote addresses.

Moreover se explained that the event, dedicated to the centennial of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, will allow for the identification of common commercial interests and the promotion of science and innovation in the implementation of agreements under the slogan “So that Cuba grows.”

In this regard, Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, governor of Holguin, called for leveraging municipal business fairs as a tool for success in this event and for ensuring the professional skills necessary for its development.

The province of Holguin has more than 70 state entities and 400 new forms of management.  Which is why the government is encouraging events aimed at facilitating productive linkages, promoting science, and the use of modern technologies.
