Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, visited today in Belarus the Public Joint Stock Company ‘Minsk Tractor Plant’ (MTZ). An entity that maintains a long history of relations with the Caribbean nation.
The Presidency reported on X that the delegation was received by Efimov Alexander Vladimirovich, Minister of Industry of Belarus, and directors of several entities, with whom the President learned about the production of impressive agricultural machinery, construction equipment, engines, and means of passenger and cargo transportation.
During the tour, the production of tractors garnered particular interest, equipment that has been present in Cuban fields for years. It was explained that currently 12 modern Belarus 321 m type tractors have been assembled in Cuba, and another 42 will be assembled soon.
A Cuban toured an exhibition located there, featuring a selection of equipment produced by Belarusian companies. Díaz-Canel acknowledged the high quality of the equipment and noted that Cuba is open to continuing joint cooperation with Belarus in this important area of development.
On this second day of his official visit to the European country, the Cuban head of state will participate in the Plenary Session of the IV Eurasian Economic Forum.
