The National Assembly of People’s Power (Parliament) of Cuba published four draft laws this Friday to promote public participation in the legislative process and contribute to its legal culture.
The published texts were the proposals for the legislations of the Cuban Sports System. The General Regime of Contraventions and Administrative Sanctions, the Civil Registry, and the Code of Childhood, Adolescence, and Youth.
On its official site, the Parliament explains the purpose of revealing the documents and shares an email address for citizens to provide their opinions about the proposals.
According to the Assembly, all were “debated and enriched in different consultation processes carried out as part of the Cuban legislative process.”
This process, it adds, preceded the “analysis and discussion” that the “deputies will carry out in the V Ordinary Session of the National Assembly of People’s Power, in its X Legislature,” scheduled for next month in July.
