Iberostar reiterates its commitment to Cuban tourism

The Spanish hotel chain Iberostar reiterated today its commitment to tourism in Cuba and confirmed plans that demonstrate this strategy. A message distributed during the 18th International Seminar of Journalism and Tourism. Ratified its plans to collaborate with the recovery of the travel industry in this country.

On that occasion, Iberostar Cuba Hotels & Resorts announced the growth of its portfolio. In line with a strategic vision that gives increasing importance to the urban segment. One in five of the hotel chain’s rooms is located in the urban environments of Havana and Trinidad.

It is a leading hotel chain that promotes a responsible tourism model focused on caring for people and the environment. It has 20 four and five-star hotels located in the main tourist destinations of Cuba.

The company offers five hotels in the heart of Havana and 14 by the beaches in places like Varadero, Cayo Cruz, Cayo Ensenachos, Cayo Guillermo, and Holguin. Four hotels managed by Iberostar Cuba Hotels & Resorts have renewed for several consecutive years the EarthCheck Certification in Silver category. A recognition that validates their commitment to exemplary environmental practices.

The distinguished establishments are the Iberostar Grand Trinidad, Iberostar Grand Packard, Iberostar Selection Holguin —which achieve certification for the third time— and the Iberostar Selection Varadero, which receives it for the fourth time.

The Iberostar Group is a Spanish multinational company dedicated to the tourism sector, headquartered in Palma de Mallorca (Spain).
