President Masoud Pezeshkian today called Israel’s attack on Iran a brutal action that reveals the criminal nature of the regime and vowed a forceful response.
In a message issued after the Israeli aerial attacks on the capital Tehran and other parts of the country, the leader stressed that the Islamic Republic will respond to the Israeli offensive wisely, strongly and resolutely.
In turn, Pezeshkian called on the Iranian people to maintain unity in the face of the enemy’s psychological warfare.
This barbaric act, which completely violates all international commitments, reveals the criminal nature of the Zionist regime, whose existence is based on occupation, aggression and the murder of children, he denounced.
According to the ruler, just as the Islamic Republic always made maximum efforts to maintain peace in the region and the world, and demonstrated its readiness for dialogue, it will act decisively to respond to the aggression and defend the territorial integrity of the nation.
The Iranian people and authorities will not remain silent in the face of this crime, and the Islamic Republic’s forceful and legitimate response will make the enemy regret its senseless action, he said.
In this regard, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that the Zionist regime of Israel and its regional and international supporters will undoubtedly receive a proportionate and decisive response at the appropriate time and place.
According to Fars News Agency, Israeli attacks on residential areas in Tehran province killed 78 people and injured 329.
This morning, Israel attacked parts of the Hamadan base in western Iran, Tasnim reported.
For its part, Hebrew Channel 12 announced that the Israeli Air Force attacked the airports of Mehrabad and Bushehr, where Iranian fighter planes are stationed.
