Díaz-Canel visits Céspedes thermoelectric power plant

President Miguel Díaz-Canel visited this Friday the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes thermoelectric power plant (CTE in the Spanish acronym) in Cienfuegos. One of the main generating blocks in the country, as part of his tour of that province.

At that site, he learned that after the synchronization of unit three. The extended partial maintenance of unit four continues.

The technical director, engineer Juan Bravo, explained that the works consist of a deep intervention that will allow to increase the generation to 316 megawatts (MW), and to improve the power quality index. Since regulating the frequency is one of its main functions.
